Job Summary
Looking to make a global impact and solve problems?
Through relentless innovation and continuous collaboration with our customers, GE Gas Power, part of GE Vernova, is providing more advanced, cleaner, and efficient power that people depend on today and building the energy technologies of the future.
What impact you’ll make:
This is a position on the FP&A team within the One Field Services (OFS) organization of the Gas Power Global Services business, reporting into the OFS FP&A Leader. The OFS FP&A Manager runs the strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical agenda for the MEA field services P&L — executing the global frameworks and metrics in-region to give MEA leadership a clear, forward-looking view of performance. Partnering with regional Operations and FP&A leader, controllership, service line teams, and HQ, the role connects field services cost visibility, productivity, and the Hoshin initiatives to MEA financial outcomes and rolls consolidated insight up to the OFS FP&A Leader. It requires an in-depth understanding of the business and cost drivers and of how MEA performance connects to the wider Global Services financials.
What you’ll do
- Manage the forecasting and strategic planning process for MEA, driving timely, accurate financial information to regional leadership and ensuring planning cycles and reporting requirements are met across multiple internal customers.
- Run the annual budgeting and planning process for MEA, and maintain the business models used to build the region's strategic plans, annual budgets, and ongoing forecast revisions in line with global standards.
- Provide recommendations grounded in financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
- Drive the use of key operational metrics across MEA — including bench/training cost analysis and non-productive labor — publishing trends and partnering with teams to control cost.
- Partner closely with controllership to ensure accuracy and completeness of financials, alignment on cost booking and liquidation, and a clean connection between actuals and forecast.
- Partner with the OFS Outage Finance Performance Leader to provide real-time outage cost visibility for MEA and proactively communicate changes based on pacing or latest estimates.
- Manage cash flow, capex, procurement, fixed-cost management, and eliminations for MEA, including FIFO rates and over/under liquidation management, to protect margin and liquidity.
- Leverage IT systems to automate reporting and data collection where manual processes currently exist, embedding a scalable, repeatable model across the region.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university or college (or equivalent knowledge/experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive finance, accounting, audit, or FP&A experience.
- Demonstrated experience running strategic planning and the forecasting/budgeting cycle across a regional or matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical skills: able to link financial results to operational drivers, generate alternatives, and drive positive change.
- Clear thinking and problem solving, with a track record of leading process improvement in a finance or operations function.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex business issues clearly and concisely.
- High integrity in decisions, communications, actions, and dealings with others.
- Confidence and assertiveness, with strong cross-functional influencing skills.
- Preferred graduate of a finance management leadership program (e.g., FMP, OFLP/CAS, etc.).
What will make you stand out
- Master's degree in finance or accounting, MBA, or CPA/CA.
- A passion for collaborating cross-functionally to solve complex operational and financial problems.
- Robust time management, the ability to work under pressure, and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience driving process simplification and excellence using contemporary data tools, particularly the Microsoft Suite and Power BI; SAP and Oracle an advantage.
- Quick to grasp new ideas and adapt.
